What is the Colll?
The College of Photomedicine / COLLL.org is a panel of experts and a
network promoting photobiomodulatory therapy (PBMt). Synonyms for this
form of therapy are photobiomodulation (PBM), photobiological therapy,
laser phototherapy, or laser therapy. COLLL is committed to the
standards of the WALT (World Association for Photobiomodulation Therapy/
waltpbm.org) and its outreach committee.
Training
Our
courses and trainings for PBMt or laser therapy are based on the modern
state of PBM research and are updated regularly. We set training
standards that are intended to enable serious both general and
specialized application of PBMt. We are independent of manufacturer
interests.
Members
COLLL members
include physicians, researchers, physiotherapists, nurses, alternative
practitioners, veterinarians, and acupuncturists, among others.
Scientific Advisory Board
Experts
in the fields of wound and pain management, basic research,
dermatology, orthopedics, PBM in veterinary medicine and laser
acupuncture form the scientific advisory board of COLLL. They provide,
among other things, recommendations for use including guidelines for
appropriate dosing of PBMt based on the available scientific literature
and also their own experience. COLLL is committed to the scientific
orientation of the World Association for Laser Therapy (WALT) and its
standards.
